By request, here is a shot of my shelter from the traffic, noise and people of Los Angeles. The Extended Stay America is located in La Mirada, CA. It's about 20 min from downtown Los Angeles (50 minutes with traffic). My room is cozy, I'll get a picture of that next month. I'm in room 224!!! The best room ever. Not. But it does have a nice bed, cool fridge, 20" TV and a alright bathroom. The hotel has no amenities. It's just a hotel with rooms, laundry and parking. Did you know people actually move in here!? There are families living in these tiny studio's. I don't get why they would waste the money on these hotel rooms, but eh, they don't seem to mind.
