Hollywood!

Today was a day like no other, it was a day filled with Beverly Hills and Hollywood! Well okay, so I really didnt have a chance to walk down any famous streets, nor did I have time to pose with the HOLLYWOOD sign, but I did have time to get trained in the art of how to control an interview. Yes friends, Gonzalo was in some heavy Media Training today! I must say, it was pretty cool.
First, the location of the training was this swanky, ultra modern, ultra slick PR office in the Pacific Design Center. I couldn't get over how L.A. lives up to it's posh, over doing it reputation (at least that's what I think of L.A.). Not only are the people dressed hip and cool, their offices, kitchens and elevators are hip and cool. And there I was, smack in the middle of it all with white sneakers, dark green socks and Khakis pants. (SQUARE)
After I got over how dull I looked compared to the slick decor, I settled in the board room. From there, it was nothing but the do's and dont's of how to get interviewed. One thing that I will share with you all, is that you should always know what message you are trying to get across in an interview. In our case, it's: "Pelon Pelo Rico is completely safe, and complies with FDA, food safety experts." So no matter what I get asked, somehow I have to always go back to that main message.
Second, when we were done getting schooled in media and in how to have a sweet looking office, we made our way to lunch.
We had lunch at "Le Pain Quotidien," a neat little cafe/bakery on Melrose Avenue. This is the kind of place where you can come and talk about poetry, life, wine and parties...plus, you're allowed to have dogs there (at least in the outside eating area). So that place was filled with people that looked like they just got up and dragged themselves to breakfast, and it also had people that looked liked they just got out of the club. I had this delicious bread dish of guacamole, shrimp and salsa. I don't know how to describe it, but it was GOOD.
Since then, it's been nothing but studying our media messages, keeping myself up to date with the whole Steroid Hearing and now, I have started to watch the Lakers vs Heat game. FUN!
You know, there is something I miss in all of this excitement that is Los Angeles. I miss TiVo. Seeing commercials on tv is so 90's.

California Begins

(thanks to some helpful advice from Gordon, I have put this up on blog)

I'm writing to you from the land of sun, plastic surgery and the Governator: Kalifornia (or California)

Where do I start?

They have me bunked up in this Extended StayAmerica over on the outskirts of Los Angeles County. I'm right next to Orange County. the exact address for those interested (i'll be here till the 27th of March):
14775 Firestone Blvd
La Mirada, CA 90638
phone# 714-670-8579, Room 220
fax# 714-670-8361

I'm driving a pretty sweet, pimped out Cargo Van for our product. Hopefully I'll be able to send some pics. It's big, green and has a crazy looking bananna guy on the side.

My cell phone still has reception out here, but I don't check my voice mail till the evening.

Since I've been here, I have done nothing but pick up supplies, go over our schedule and get to know each other. They have me paired up with this Italian girl that speaks spanish and till Sunday we have Clara here too (she's one of the bosses, I guess).

Our first real day out will be this Saturday!

alright, that's all I feel like saying now. (if you want to be excluded from these updates, let me know)
till next time,
